Come aboard Twig for a trip of a lifetime! We’ll sail the following voyages and get a first-hand adventure in the world of sailing and cruising along the Maine coastline. Maine is one of our favorite (if not favorite) places to sail, and we want to share the stunning beauty with you! Whether you’re and old salt and want a fun sail or new to the idea of traveling by sailboat, we’re ready to show you the ropes! We’re big on "choose your own adventure" scenarios so tell us what you want! Some voyages will have different start and end locations, so plan accordingly. We’ll depart Annapolis, Maryland and head through the C&D Canal, out the Delaware River, and cruise the New Jersey shoreline ending in New York City! We’ll do a few overnights not this passage, so be ready! This voyage will include planning for tides and currents due to the canal transit and will get you valuable experience using radar and AIS while entering New York’s busy harbors. Twig will stay in New York for a few days upon arrival and you’re welcome to stay aboard for an extra charge.

Heading through the Long Island Sound, we’ll find some lovely places to anchor on this leisurely passage. We’ll stop in Montauk, Block Island, or Mystic, Connecticut depending on the weather and winds. Our final destination of Newport, Rhode Island is a sailing wonderland filled with many boats and sights to see.

Make the trip north through the famously difficult Buzzards Bay, through the Cape Cod Canal and travel offshore, nonstop, to Kennebunkport, Maine. This trip will be 3 days of offshore sailing, dodging fishing boats, using radar and AIS to avoid ships transiting Boston’s busy shipping lanes. We’ll arrive in the iconic Kennebunkport which boasts a charming town to explore.

July 16 - July 20, 2019: Portland, ME to Rockland, ME
We’ll take a leisurely cruise along the picturesque coast of Maine. We’ll stop at Seguin Island and tour the lighthouse. We’ll continue on to Burnt Island or Monhegan Island (depending on the winds). On day 3 we’ll travel to the Dix Island Harbor islands which are picturesque and private. On our final day of sailing, we’ll have an easy sail to Rockland Harbor where we will enjoy all the sights and events Rockland can offer.
